Dual Special Needs Plans (DSNP) in Florida

If you qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid, a Dual Special Needs Plan (DSNP) may combine your benefits into one plan — often with $0 premiums, dental, vision, hearing, and transportation. This guide explains who qualifies and how to enroll in Pinellas County.

Who qualifies for a DSNP?

Medicare eligibility

  • Enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B
  • Age 65+ or under 65 with qualifying disability

Medicaid eligibility

  • Enrolled in Florida Medicaid (any category)
  • Includes full Medicaid and QMB/SLMB programs
Enrollment note: DSNP enrollment is available year-round for eligible individuals — you do not have to wait for the Annual Enrollment Period. Call (727) 348-0589 to check your eligibility.
